I wannaBe

I wannaBe

I miss the freedom
the constant mischief
the wilder side which has longed been kept away
those true friends that I should have treasured more
& the days of being able to be just me
for long lost are the times i feel truely secure..

Most blog i read have at least an entry or several about reminisce of the past. I guess this makes my first..

most people i know now don't know who gordon really is. Simply put, life in poly has been extremely restrictive and i'm not able to be truely myself. I really miss those glorious days with my brothers in white (u know who u are peeps!). wonder how long more i must wait before i can stop this lie

anyway, the awesome song playing in the background is called flavors of life sung by Utada Hikaru. yes i like jap & no i'm not otaku.

managed to catch up with kenneth - whom i haven't met in ages - the other day. I think he has changed.. at the very least in height. never fail to feel like a dwarf around him. wonder when he will he stop growing vertically and start growing horizontally man. haha. anyway really glad to have finally met him.

projects and ICAs are killin me.. knowing that the days to come are only going to get worse does nothing but makes my eyes go black. bah..

property of...

When out with my "fashion consultant" today as both of us had the same thing to get on our mind - a bag. It wasn't exactly something urgent but i just felt like spending. haha and spend we did. Ended up buying a yummy black bag for $129.90 from projectshop at Wisma. Initially I wanted to get a bag in the shades of brown but it seems like black is still my colour. Jared says so too.. i certainly hope he's right because from far i really think my new bag looks like a mass of charcoal. After spending the greater part of our fortune we settled our dinner at a nice budget resturant in Lucky Plaza before heading home.. YAY! new bag =)

took this pic over at paragon. don't EVER get a red car it will look like a toy car from above haha

pic2
don't worry. this is not the bag.. it's just the nice packaging it came in!

lovely day.

lovely day.

Number of days with a broken nail: 0

snapped it off. I realised the top half of my nail could snap off anytime, must as well do it myself. so no more broken nail just a big toe that looks really naked. lol

my mum told me she dreamt of batman the night after we watched it. *told u my mum was cute*

haven't attended my night lessons for the past 4 weeks. So i vowed to attend yesterday's by hook or by crook. Just when i'm all set on going, I found out that the night lesson is cancelled. oh ho.. i didnt ask for it. ;)

ended up calling up hairy god (Jiu Siang) to play pool instead. wahaha

today? Today i had no school but i still had to get my lazy ass to yck as i have to take my basic theory test. i failed.

ok. that was a bad attempt at lying. all of u probably already knew i was going to pass from the start right?! wahaha. Anyway, the last 10 qns got quite tricky but i guess i still managed to pull it off. weeee. Proceeded to Q for my PDL (provisional driving liscense) after the test. Waited a bleedy 2 hours man! thankfully there's this friendly malay woman (mother of 3) seating next to me and we had a nice chat. Imagine how boring that 2 hours could be!! Along with her, i also met a kind lady who worked there and another nice chap. You know, what happened today really made me think that friendly/good people are all around.. we jus have to see the world from a different light

no injuries today. :)

js
haha.. i hope he doesn't kill me for dressing him up. But i have to admit, it is a nice pose.

what a day.

what a day.

Number of days with a broken nail: 6

my mum is cute. Like most typical mums (tell me if i'm wrong) she's the rather old fashioned, scream into phone type. ever trying to understand the new world order and occasionally attempting to catch our lingo. Yet, believe it or not, she likes batman. Ya that batman. the one kids like. u know, she really hates super heros and all that stuff but she’s totally in love with the dark crusader. Two years ago when she missed ‘batman begins’ in the theater, she shoved twenty bucks into my hands and 'demanded' that I go get the vcd for her. lawl. usually I need to beg her if I wanted a vcd or such but for batman, she does it volunteering-ly.

Well, I so happened to be watching the trailer of the new batman movie (The Dark Knight) earlier today when my mum walked past the computer. what could possibly happen next..

Ended up catching the movie with her at 8.45pm (a free treat. so why not? waha)

The movie was good. felt a lil bumpy though.. I thought it was going to end twice but the action keep coming back.. i duno whether thats good or bad

anyhow, I rushed home after the movie as I needed to cycle and meet my old friend to hand him a micro-sd card he bought from me. & guess what.. I was decorated with a new scar!! Once again, it was only a short 5-10mins ride from home. That makes three cycling trips straight with injury – diggit

Sleeping on a cold floor

Sleeping on a cold floor

Number of days with a broken nail: 3

I love sleeping on the floor. I always have. To me, waking up from the floor is more revitalising then waking up from the bed…. You know, there might just be some hidden benefits to the body for sleeping on hard flat surfaces. comfortable or not is another question. trust me, when you’re dead tired u wouldn’t give a shit. u jus lie down and thats it. I have knock out less then 10 steps into my house before – that was the record. Though I usually sleep at the wooden floor of my cosy room. I find wooden floors better than mable ones. haha

after checking some stuff on my computer my body gave way. I slip down from my chair, hit the ground and there I was.. simply too tired. Unfortunately it wasn't a calm and fulfilling nap. I was to meet Ding Hui for dinner and knowing that I need to wake up at any moment’s notice, my sleep was filled with turbulence. Like an automatic alarm clock, I woke up every 30mins to check on my phone..... normally I would have got up and busy myself with something else but my body wouldn’t obey... not today. I was too shag and weak to get up

Left home as soon as DH called. I cycled and guess what? I fucking fell. Only a mere 5 mins ride from home to Toa Payoh centre and I just had to fall. this time I injured my other big toe.. thankfully it's those sharp short pain that subsides after awhile. I'm telling u i'm cursed on bikes.

It's a miracle!

It's a miracle!

Number of days with a broken nail: 1

My laptop has rejuvenated itself this morning. miracle sia! I guess all my hair dying efforts paid off. wahaha

Seriously, DELL rocks. like c'mon man how many laptops can survie a swim?! some can't even survive a spill over the keyboard. Mine was completely soak in water.

actually, i am posting this entry over lunch at mosburger right now. heh. my first 'live' post made outside of home sweet home =)

some permanent screen damage ))))):

Damn right it is.

Spell of bad karma

Spell of bad karma

We were suppose to present what we have done thus far as individuals during ECPJ lessons today. Obviously since my laptop is wrecked. I can't present shit. With that, I decided to head home instead of remaining in school handicapped without a laptop.

Unbelievably just when I thought I was pretty cool to skip half of my reamining lessons, I found out Cheryl took a day off to Orchard. win. That leaves only Aloysius who was still in school. Cheryl and I tried convincing him to pon IPNET for kway chap (he owe us dinner for passing his driving test). We failed miserably. Alloy’s will to attend lessons can't be easily shaken. He's too guai (good boy) le. Hence we had no choice but to starve ourselves while waiting for Alloy’s lesson to end before meeting up.

9pm finally came and we met at Braddell mrt. I cycled there. After a long walk (I pushed my bike) we finally got to the Kway Chap store. but guess what?

~ We will be closed on 15 July for a rest ~

Like OMG. 9.15pm. hungry. tired. And shop close!! Left with no other options we headed to Toa Payoh centre.. I suggested eating at a famous ban mian store. But my two good friends were seriously overgrown snails. I wonder if they have been rendered slowpokes due to starvation or is it just me being too fast on my bike. Anyway, much thanks to their fantastic walking speed we arrived at 9.31pm. The store closes at 9.30pm. ah.. ah.. ah.. ah.. ah.. ah..

and SO, in the end we settled our dinner at Kopitam which opens 247. That wasn’t the end of the story. At least not for me. Just when I thought we were unlucky enough, I learned that I broke my toe nail on the way from Braddell to Toa Payoh. Bizarrely I only realised it that much later. I think I’m really cursed on bikes. I got into an accident once two years ago. Following that, most of my cycling trip ends up with me having one or more form of injuries. Perhaps I’m simply not fated to cycle.

whether it hurts? Yea. a little. But I guess I’m waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay use to injuries by now. Plus, what’s physical pain compared emotional ones? This is where I always remind myself of the legendary quote from Nicolas Cage's World Trade Center movie - "pain is your friend. It tells you you're still alive." I so agree.

Guess flip flops & sandals will be the in thing for the next couple of weeks :/

for the benefit of readers..

Ever seen a flooded bag?

Ever seen a flooded bag?

I can almost swear fishes could swim in my bag eariler today. Yea. Thats right. My bag was flooded. My poor bag was accidentally hit by a swingling door in school which then got the cap of my water bottle lose. And of all days, my laptop had to be in the darn bag when this happens. In the first place i hardly bring my big fat laptop to school, even if i did i usually don't place it in my bag. talk about friggin' luck!! My lappy was completely drenched and my books were soaked to the last piece while my bag became... well, when I cleared the contents of my bag and looked into it, i discovered a pond. One just nice for tiny inhabitants of the sea!

anyway, i can't even turn on my lappy now. poor lappy :(
I'm going to wait for it to dry completely before i give it another try *prays*

lesson learned:
- Stay away from potentially dangerous swinging doors at all times
- Crumpler is clearly not waterproof
- Nalgene bottles are unpredictable
- My bag makes a nice home for fishes

I did gain one thing out off all this mess though. I finally got my bag washed

What hair Dryers are truely for - Drying wet laptops.

Just how am i suppose to study for my btt now!?

Arigato o niisan

Arigato o niisan

Haven't slept past 3am in a long long time but I did just that this morning. Slept only at 8am and woke up at noon. I would have slept on till some monkey donkey time but thanks to my living alarm clock I was forced out of bed at 12 - Thanks mum. What time do you guys usually sleep? I always feel terribly guilty if I slept really late because I’ve been telling myself for years to keep healthy and sleep before midnight. Sadly I never succeeded. I guess it's not a realistic goal considering my haphazard lifestyle

Actually, I recently learned that a lack of sleep especially during the puberty years will affect the growth of one's height. Now I finally know why I am so short despite the 2 glasses of milk I drink every day :[

Shoots. It’s 2.39am already. What was my target again? Before midnight?? wahaha

Anyways, my elder brother just got home from his first week as an OCS (officer) today. And for those of you that didn’t know, me and brother… we hardly ever talk to each other. In the past, when I was home he is always out and vice versa. It is no different now that he’s serving the army. We also had our fair share of differences, different rooms, different hobbies and many others things that set us apart.

Today however, we managed to play a game or two of pool together - something we never did before. We caught up with each other and surprisingly we never stopped talking. I even shared with him some problems which was really bothering me recently. He didn’t give me much valuable advice. But I think he did enough just by genuinely listening and showing concern. I never knew I could be this open to him.

For listening to craps & for the game of pool which u fully paid for, arigato o niisan.

Welcome to the world of greencyanblue

Welcome to the world of greencyanblue

It was a chilly morning.

I tossed and turned longer than I could remember yet I still failed at getting myself to sleep. Miserable Miserable. So there I was on bed – with only two options left. To the fridge or to the computer. Having already brushed my teeth and not wanting to do it again, I booted my PC. It was then 3.45am. No one was online and I had nothing to do. Then somehow it incurred that I typed http://www.blogger.com/ into my browser. Well, maybe there has always been something in me that still wants to give blogging another try. I guess when you’re left with nothing else to do it seems like the best thing to do.

Soon I found myself at the page where I had to choose a blog name. I tried over a dozen of them but to my shock every single one of them is already in use!! I never thought it would be this tough just thinking of a suitable name (or perhaps I should say a ‘usable name’). If I knew it was going to be such a pain in the arse I would have choose to continue tossing and turning in bed. Actually, I wanted something personal. I wanted a blog name that relates to me. And so the thought of apples came into my mind. Yes. Apples. I shall share my story with you another time but for now let’s just say I have an indisputable connection with the lovely fruit. Unfortunately, apple still wasn't good enough. Anything ‘apple’ related seems to be taken. So I proceeded to try pomme* something, then something pomme. failed. ringo something and then something ringo. failed again. I continued down the list, der Apfel, appel, elma... all I got back was ‘not available’ or ‘already in use’.

Darn blogger.

After an hour of torture and some major brain squeezing (try thinking of baby names at 4 in the morning), I finally settled with greencyanblue. Paradoxically that’s the first name I thought of.... Just Great.

So here I am, presenting you my new humblily humblfied blog. Lets pray that this time it will last ;)

*Pomme is apple in French, Ringo is apple in Japanese, der Apfel in Germany, appel in Dutch and elma in Turkish*
