2012 is the year that taught me what it is like to be human. It also taught me that life is never fair, and cannot be measured. In 2012, I was in the army and then I was out. I got; not a ticket to pass but a burden to bare. I was betrayed, misunderstood and felt lost many more than just once, I made new friends while others I would never know. for what may be fixed may also be forever lost. I broke down, I broke down hard. I broke up, Felt stress I never experienced before. I loved and I felt loved. I understood humanity better. I met someone special. Learnt about loneliness, sacrifice, the feeling of helplessness and pain for another.. the importance of family, what it meant to have someone to hold dear and to be cared for I was reprimand, I was enlightened. and that I am blessed. I have never in my life, been through so much in a single year. 2012 has never been easy for me since the first day in January. But in that I gained an extremely valuable lesson, I learnt that life is such. We just need to harness the strength and stand tall; Stand for what we believe in, and trust that others do too. And, LIVE ..because no matter what, life goes on. |
