Congrats to Alanso & Kudos to Massa Congrats to Alonso & Kudos to Massa  Massa, who was leading the race drove off the pit with the fuel line still attached to his Ferrari F2008 and later serving a penalty that cost him precious time and eventually the race. It was later found that it wasn't his fault but one of his crew member who gave the green light (a signal to go off) when the fuel line is not yet safely removed. Not only was he leading but everyone including professionals predicted the match to be his. Most would think Massa would be cursing and swearing away at his misfortune but nope. Not only was he cool, this is what he said to the pit crew member who gave the wrong signal: "These things happen. We are all human beings. Everybody makes mistakes. I am not the kind of guy who goes to the guy and fights with him" "...So I went to the guy and gave him even more motivation because we need him and we need everybody together for the last three races of the season." He earned my respect. Solid Sportsmanship. His loss is really BIG. From 1 point behind Hamilton to 7 point. The outcome of the Singapore night race could very well cost him to lose his one chance to win this year's championship! So yep really a pity. Anyway Alonso won. No one would have thought he would win the race. I mean from 15th to 1st!! That only happens in like what? 1 in 10 races? But I'm supremely happy BECAUSE I WAS ACTUALLY ROOTING FOR HIM SINCE DAY ONE! When his crappy Renault R28 died on him on Saturday’s qualifying match it seems as though all hope was lost. But LOL not only was I wrong but everyone else. Truly a bless in disgust. I guess miracles do happen. Let’s hope Massa will do well in the last three races this season. I’ll be praying hard for him. As for Alonso, my star, all I can say is he’s got the skillz man. I mean c’mon, 2 championship title, and now the first ever night race - If only his luck was better or if he was driving for the red team or a Mclaren. Although teamwork plays a huge role in F1 and driver’s skill count (which he obviously has), ultimately the car’s reliability matters most, and Renaults sucks. I reapeat. Renault sucks. having flat foot sucks having flat foot sucks Never really complained about it until i finally realise how much it can hurt. Makes me jealous of ordinary people with normal feet. I also fear i won't be able to excel when i enter NS - i want to aim for SSPEC at the minimum. all this time i have been bluffing myself that my feet hurts only due to long hours of standing (when i was working in G2000 and in Sim Lim Square). It was not until my most recent job as a waiter did i realise it was actually just me. I came to my conclusion after asking 10 odd people if their feet hurts at the end of the day (including girls). Most of them said no or only a little. Mine hurt like hell. I just kept quiet because I thought everyone was suffering the same as me. For all the fortunate folks who have ‘normal’ feet; reading this entry now and wondering. All i can say is, damn you, you lucky ass. It really sucks to have flat foot. After standing for 12 hours the feeling i get is as though i just wore a pair of shoes 3 size too small for a days. This tight feeling and unbearable sharp pain is *^~$!*&%#! it even hurts when i'm seated (and typing this nonsense..) Work is fine. Tiring, a bit brainless ( i hate brainless jobs) and dirty. but most of the people i'm working with are nice people and i strongly believe that’s the most important aspect of any job. Will be looking forward to the remaining 3 days of work - besides the flat foot problem Shall continue bluffing myself. September 17, 2008
Weeeeeeeee I love the Wii  I finally exercised. Yep I did. Not in the pool nor under scorching sun but by playing Wii. RJ kindly invited us over to his place to try out the new Wii he got. And man.. was a cool toy. We had tons lot of fun playing tennis, boxing, golf, baseball, swimming and so many others that I can barely remember. Not forgetting the moments we thought Derrence was going to swing his punch right on to TV and RJ’s comical moves. However, we weren’t spared from sweating despite being indoors and having a huge fan blowing directly at us. Just as it was tremendous fun, it was tremendously tiring.. It has since been a full day and the muscles on my arm still feels like jelly (guess that’s what you get for NOT exercising in ages) all thanks to the fanatical shaking of the controller for almost 4 hours non-stop >.< Heh. Now I am starting to have thoughts of getting not just the PS3 but the Wii as well; so a lazy bum like myself can no longer find an excuse to not exercise. A free workout while having fun at the same time in the comfort of one’s home. How cool is that! ..and RJ, your porridge rock! ;) September 9, 2008
holidays are great Holidays are great & always welcomed IKEA!! yupps that where i when with jared last saturday.. We decided it was my treat as he helped me dye my hair. Been wanting to get a mirror from IKEA since my last trip. Sadly, in the end i still didn't got any. wahaha.. ended up getting a hook ass instead! serious!! i got something called a hook ass! it's printed there on the reciept! Lovely name for a lovely product... I will review what it is to u if u be a good boy/gal and keep reading on :D  seriously have no idea what Jared is doing here. he claims he's making musical tunes. i think it jus looks wrong. but oh well, let the man enjoy himself while he's at it.. hehe  ok. besides all the cofy sofas and chairs we tried on and didn't wan to get our butts out of, this is one of the 'not-so-comfortable-to-sit-on' things which caught my eye... The hole u see is for u to throw in ur used laundry!! SIMPLY BRILLIANT. jus something a lazy Gordon needs. i was bragging what an amazing invention it was until Jared broke my bubble by saying it looks like a toilet bowl. good point. but nevertheless still a superb invention, sometimes if i'm lazy to drag my feet to the toilet to poo poo i can jus do it... erm.. ya i think u got me :b  AHA! the hook ass i was talking about earlier! hehe.. now u know what it is.. i got it so i could hook my enormous headphone. I'm glad i got it.. if not otherwise it would have been my 2nd trip down to IKEA leaving empty handed. The darn mirror is jus too big. i will look stupid carrying it up on a bus. and i was too bankrupt to take a cab after i treated..... lol jkjk  Last but not least i had dinner with Jiu Siang! the hairy god! rmb the cute foto where i dressed him as superman? (scroll way down). yep thats him. I think he's trying to break some record of smth.. he ordered two extra servings of fries.. and mind u.. if u ever ate botak jones, it's infamous for it's generous serving of fries. and there u have, mr jiu siang asking for more. looks like i'm not as talented in driving as i thought i might be. Yupp. I'm currently attending driving lessons. I had five lessons so far but apparently i still haven't got my basics right - clutch control. It's quite humiliating to stall the vehicle over and over again beside the instructor. If it were a test i would have failed more times than you can count. Oh, and not forgetting that it’s embarrassing too!! For those who don't know much about cars, when a vehicle stalls it has the tendency to bounce up and down. So yea.. not jus the instrutor but everyone outside of it will know as well :S All the instructors i had before today were really nice. Today's however, was.. eh... very blunt. Not like he scolded me or anything but he's really direct. Seriously felt the pressure with him - only making matter worse actually - the added pressure only equal to more mistakes. LOL! yes yes. laugh at me >.< maybe the old saying of ‘having a little pressure is good’ makes sense.. i never really learned from my mistakes with the previous few 'too nice' instructors i enjoyed. haha anywae i finally got the hair colourant/dye i've been intending to get. It says 'intense dark burgundy'. Basically it's a really dark shade of red and brown. Hopefully the result turns out exactly as the print on the box.. The last thing i want is too look like some clown with bright red hair!  Burgundy. My soon-to-be hair colour! :D |
