foot soldier  hope the subject of war doesn't come off too strongly. needed to write discretely and couldn't find a better way. I actually had some trouble thinking of the subject at first. It wasn’t untill I came across Radiohead's new release; a song in tribute to the late and last living British World War I veteran; the song wasn't great, then again it doesn’t matter, it gave me the idea and thats good enough. Though I must say, what Radiohead did was really cool and commendable. Ok I’m getting carried away as always, haha here's what i came up with. It’s obviously not about the WWI veteran. I’m just borrowing the war.. I’m a foot soldier I joined the war no contemplation no agenda now I’m lost and cold as I crease through nights in bewildering wonder why ever did I join this war? maybe it’s time to withdraw from this excruciation I see no alleviation I've tried taking a step back slow but there was no vindication I just don't want to be that swinging oakwood door like dirt on my boots I’ve stepped into charade but there's no real escape so i'm fighting i'm fighting. I am a foot soldier vulnerable as I step into iffy horizons.. --- anyway here's a vid of Lisztomania which i jus had to share with you guys. i fing love it. |
